Photobox has been around for a few years in the UK market. It was set up as a wholly online business, as an alternative to traditional photo
processing labs whose original businesses were centred around a wholly postal service.

The Photobox site, is is clean, clear and fast to load. You can register and upload pictures without the need to make a purchase, and we found the
registration section quick and easy to complete.
UPLOADING YOUR PICTURES
The photo upload tool provided by Photobox was extremely intuitive, and they provide easy to understand step by step instructions in case you get stuck. The upload
tool also lets you know how far along you are with getting your photos onto their server and ready for printing. There is an excellent and easy to use
tool to help you choose the right print size to match the resolution of the images you have taken with your camera. The tool also advises on the possible
quality of the prints to make sure you get the best results from your prints.
STORAGE CAPACITY & ONLINE ALBUMS
Once you have registered, Photobox offers a 50MB free online storage facility. This is increased to 200MB once you have placed your first order. You can eirther display your
photos in galleries that are open to public view, or you can choose to keep them private.
ORDER PROCESS
Its incredibly easy to order your photographic prints. All you have to do is select as many of your uploaded pictures as you require
to be printed, and select "buy" at the top of your album, or "add to basket" if you have just uploaded. Once you have done this, you
simply select the print finish you desire (matt / gloss / with and without borders). The final checkout was very straightforward,
and easy to complete.
DELIVERY & PRINT QUALITY
We placed our order mid-afternoon on a Tuesday. About two hours later we received an e-mail from the Photobox despatch department
informing us that our prints had been processed and sent already! They arrived on the doorstep at 10am the next morning, which was
terribly impressive and beat other photo processors by at least a day or two. Photobox most definately have the edge when it comes
to delivery times, so we'd most definately recommend using them if you are in a hurry to get your pictures or photo gifts!
Photobox has an excellent introductory offer for new customers. You can get up to 30 prints for free, all you have to pay for is the postage. Even better,
you don't have to use up all your free prints for one order, although Photobox ask that you use your free allocation within a 30 day period. You will get an e-mail
from them reminding you of any free prints you still have to use up as the end of the 30 day period approaches.
Another great feature from Photobox is the great range of gift items you can generate from your online albums. It's quick and easy to order mugs, mousemats and
much more from these guys.
The packaging was extremely sturdy, with the prints being delivered in a very strong cardboard envelope to prevent any damage
ocurring in the post. The prints were of great quality. Photobox uses FujiColor Crystal Archive paper, and the images were extremely
clear with great colour rendition.
OUR VERDICT
All in all, great quality and value delivered quickly and professionally.
